Canadian jazz artists unite for Haiti

Following the devastating January 12 earthquake in Haiti, the jazz community in Toronto came together inspired to help make a difference through music.

After several months of hard work, the World Jazz for Haiti CD is set to be released. The double CD features 23 original songs, with proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti earthquake fund. If you are a Canadian jazz aficionado you will probably recognize the artists on the CD including David Clayton-Thomas, Holly Cole, Guido Basso, Jane Bunnett and John McDermott.

You can listen to some of the tracks on Facebook.

The official launch party is taking place this Sunday, September 26, in Toronto.  More details can be found here.   Stay tuned for more info on how you can purchase a copy of the CD!
